November 2015, Day 6, Sadanoumi v Aminishiki

Don’t blink. Aminishiki sidesteps at the tachiai, letting poor Sadanoumi cruise on by. A hand on the belt to help him on his way makes the official winning technique uwatedashinage, or pulling overarm throw. It’s not a cheap trick, though – watch how Aminishiki gets right up in Sadanoumi’s face at the tachiai, reaching his left arm all the way around for the deep belt grip. His other hand goes on the back of Sadanoumi’s head to keep him off-balance and usher him out. Not exactly something to be proud of, but not as bad as jumping out of the way.
