May 2016, Day 1, Ichinojo v Terunofuji

Alright, on with the Ozeki! Two massive mounds of Mongolian meat meet in the middle for much mashing and mauling! Ichinojo’s right hand gropes and reaches for the belt grip underneath Ozeki Terunofuji’s solid left-hand overhand, but just as he locks it up Terunofuji ruins his grip on the other side. Now he’s scrambling on his left to keep the Ozeki off his belt, and Terunofuji uses that distraction to clamp down with his left arm, breaking Ichinojo’s right-hand underhand grip. The Ozeki drops his own hold on the belt because the arm bar is working just fine. Ichinojo goes down to the kotenage.
