May 2016, Day 3, Kaisei v Goeido

Goeido wins today with a quick harite face slap at the tachiai and some good hand fighting to stay nice and low underneath the taller Kaisei until he gets a belt grip with his right hand on the front of the mawashi. From there it’s no great trouble to pull down the flailing Kaisei, who seems unable to take the one extra step he needs to save his balance. Shitatehineri (twisting underarm throw) for Goeido.
