May 2016, Day 4, Kisenosato v Okinoumi

Classic yotsu-zumo battle between these two behemoths. Kisenosato gets his left hand solidly on Okinoumi’s belt, and reaches for the right-hand overhand grip. He secures it just in time to defend against Okinoumi’s underarm throw attempt from that side, and even though he’s only got a single layer of the belt, Kisenosato uses that right-hand grip multiple times to keep himself upright. The two men end up in the center of the ring, but only Kisenosato has a belt grip on both sides. Okinoumi seems exhausted by his repeated throw attempts and can’t mount a defense when Kisenosato decides to walk him out.
