November 2016, Day 4, Takarafuji v Chiyonokuni

Chiyonokuni drops to 0-4, but it’s not for lack of effort. He aggressively applies the force of his entire body right off the initial charge, but Takarafuji is too strong and calmly absorbs the attack. Takarafuji gets his feet set and his hands on Chiyonokuni’s torso, and drives the smaller wrestler the length of the dohyo. The poor referee picks the wrong side to circle around the action, and the quick footwork that keeps him from getting squashed also sends his sandal flying into the audience. There’s a rare souvenir.
