November 2016, Day 10, Kotoyuki v Yoshikaze

Kotoyuki blows up Yoshikaze at the tachiai with a forearm under the chin, and poor Yoshikaze has no luck deflecting the subsequent thrusts, finding himself quickly on the wrong side of the straw bales at the edge of the dohyo. Yoshikaze drops to 2-8, a disappointing makekoshi (losing record) that will result in his demotion next tournament.
