January 2017, Day 7, Chiyoshoma v Kotoyuki

Kotoyuki seems to have lost his spark. After a couple of brief slaps and thrusts he flounders and stops his attack, falling victim to Chiyoshoma’s sidestep and letting his torso get way out in front of his feet (Chiyoshoma’s hand on the back of his head doesn’t help). It would be nice to see him return to form, with his old relentless flurry of slaps from a stable base. Kotoyuki falls to 2-5.
